This documentary tells the story of Vera, who uses a wheelchair but dreams of becoming a dancer. Through determination, hard work and the support of friends and family, she learns to dance without any help and without her wheelchair. By the end of the fi lm she performs at a student festival with a troupe of professional dancers.
The story is based on real-life events. It speaks
about a young talented man who dreams about training at the most prestigious hotel in Munich. Nothing can stop him, not even the unexpected deterioration in his eyesight, which he tries to conceal as best he can. A bit of luck, the assistance of friends and the belief in oneself make up the recipe for his success.

The project “Lifework” was launched in December 2015 on the eve of the Year of Russian Cinema. It is based on a series of inspiring shorts (episodes) giving fi rst-person accounts by social entrepreneurs in this country. The project comprises 12 episodes each of which off ers a picture of social business activities in various regions of Russia. The second episode describes the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region – Yugra. The land is mostly swampy taiga, the climate is anything but comfortable for man. Stories of people carrying on creative work in such severe conditions arouse genuine admiration.

Gennady is unobtrusive and secretive. But a+ er he is badly injured in a car crash his life changes drastically. He moves about in a wheelchair and enjoys the attention of peoplewho are willing to help him. They ask a+ er his health and his aff airs, persuade him to join a Paralympic sports club. The protagonist hides the fact that he no longer needs a wheelchair which he uses only in public. The doctors are at a loss, blaming the psychological trauma. Sometime later Gennady starts noticing that certain people are eager to make use of his situation to serve their own selfi sh ends. Most certainly somewhere romance will pop up.
