The 19th Spirit of Fire International Debut Film Festival has been postponed to 2022; it will be held on February 22-28.
This decision was made at a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the event, which was chaired by the Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova. At the same time, two festivals will take place at once – the 19th and 20th Spirit of Fire.
"The work on the 19th festival has been completed, the participants of the Scripts Contest among the participants from the countries of the Arctic Council have been determined. This is a new creative direction in the festival program. More than 30 applications were received," Natalia Komarova said.
The Vice-President of the festival, Maria Zvereva, underlined that the program of the 19th festival has been drawn up. However, according to her, not all participants would be able to come to Russia because of the epidemiological situation in the world.
All competitive works will be presented to the audience in 2022. An additional acceptance of applications for the Scripts Contest among the countries of the Arctic Council and for the main competition will also be announced, in case of withdrawal of the application or the release of the film. It will be held from September 1 to October 15, and the 20th festival - from October 1 to December 30.
