Boris Nelepo is a film critic and curator. He studied in Paris and Barcelona, graduated from Moscow State University named after Lomonosov. He wrote texts for “Afisha”, “Seans”, “Kommersant-Weekend”, OpenSpace, Colta, Interview, Gazeta.ru, Empire, GQ, The Hollywood Reporter. He has publications in foreign periodicals about cinema: Trafic (France), MUBI (USA), Cinema Scope (Canada), Lumiere (Spain), Moving Image Source (USA), Nobody (Japan), De Filmkrant (Netherlands). In 2008 – editor of Arthouse.ru, then the editor-in-chief of the portal KINOTE.info, 2010-2011 – director in charge of special projects of the cinema “Pioner”. 2012-2013 – curator of the festival "Other Cinema", which was held in 26 cities of Russia. Together with the State Center for Contemporary Art, he held the first retrospective of Filip Garrel films in Russia.
The winner of the Mikhail Levitin Memorial Prize for the best young film critic in 2010. Member of the international jury at the Locarno Festival in 2012, a member of the FIPRESCI jury at the Rotterdam festival in 2013, a jury member of the international competition at the DocLisboa festival (Portugal).
